How many sites can I monitor with Jiploo ?

Jiploo can monitor an unlimited number of sites. We charge on a per page basis, meaning, for each page we load and monitor we debit your account balance by a small fee. Currently we charge $0.005 per page, less than a penny to test one page. You set how often you want your site to be monitored and how many pages to scan.

How do you ensure I don't get false alerts ?

Two ways.

Firstly. We run validation tests to ensure the fault does not lie with our data center and we validate our connectivity before sending any alerts.

Secondly. Using our escalation functionality you can set a time buffer before alerts are sent. You'll be surprised how often your hosting provider has problems even if just for a few seconds.

Can you send alerts to my mobile phone ?

We don't have SMS functionality built into Jiploo. However, most mobile phone operators will provide you with an e-mail address that acts as an SMS gateway to your phone.

What is alert escalation and why do I need it ?

In short, not everyone in your organization needs to know immediately when a site goes down. Managers may only require notification after a particularly long down spell.

i.e. www.yoursite.com goes down and an administrator is alerted straight away. The site is still down after 1 hour, at this stage a manager is alerted who can allocate further resources.

How much does it cost ?

We charge $0.005 (that's less than 1 penny) per test. A test includes - server ping, page load and text search. We don't run complicated plans and service levels, everyone gets the same functionality regardless of how much you spend.

For example; if you test 1 page on 1 site every hour, you'll spend 12 cents a day.

Do you have a free trial ?

Yes. When you register we will credit with $5.00 which is enough to completely test the service.
